
The Srinagar district administration distributed computers and furniture to 114 government schools as part of the District Capex Budget, aiming to strengthen digital learning across the district.
February 16, Srinagar: The Srinagar District Administration distributed computer systems along with essential furniture to 114 government schools under the District Capex Budget, with the aim of strengthening digital infrastructure and improving classroom environments across the district.
The distribution ceremony was held at the Government Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh, where Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo presided as the chief guest. Chief Education Officer Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and heads of beneficiary schools were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Labroo said the initiative is designed to equip students with technological skills and foster a technology-enabled learning environment in government schools. He emphasized that improved access to information technology will enhance the quality of education and prepare students to meet contemporary academic and professional challenges.
The deputy commissioner congratulated the Chief Education Office team and school heads for their efforts in implementing the initiative, reiterating the administration's commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure in the district.
