
The 39th Annual Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University was held today at the Jammu Convention Centre with great enthusiasm and celebration.
The convocation was celebrated simultaneously across the country, with the main event organized at the IGNOU Headquarters in New Delhi. The event was attended by the Honorable Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, as the Chief Guest, and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, as the Guest of Honor.
At the Jammu event, over 350 students participated and received their degrees in person. The atmosphere was filled with joy and pride as graduates marked a significant milestone in their academic journey, making it a memorable occasion for the IGNOU Regional Centre.
The event highlighted IGNOU's commitment to inclusive education, providing opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including homemakers, government employees, private sector employees, and businesspersons.
Officials expressed their gratitude to Professor B. S. IG for accepting the invitation to distribute degrees at the ceremony. Speakers congratulated the students and encouraged them to make the best use of their qualifications for better career opportunities and future growth.
