
Etawah (UP), March 13 An 80-year-old man drowned in a river in the Peuli village here, police said on Friday.
Bakewar Police Station SHO Vipin Malik said that Tikaram from Peuli village had gone to the bank of the Sengar River on Thursday to graze his livestock when he drowned.
A search was launched for him at night, but due to the darkness, he could not be found.
On Friday morning, villagers spotted a body floating in the river and alerted Tikaram's family, the SHO said.
The police arrived and retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem.
