
In Reasi, under the Civic Action Programme, the Reasi District Police organized a week-long "Bharat Darshan" tour for 88 students from remote areas of the district.
The group, accompanied by five caretakers including Inspector Sukhbir Singh and PSI Padmini, was formally launched by Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Paramvir Singh, from the District Police Line in Reasi, in the presence of senior officers.
Speaking to the students, SSP Paramvir Singh encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity to broaden their perspectives and understand the nation's rich cultural diversity. He stated that the tour aims to expose students to India's history, heritage, development, and modern institutions, while promoting unity, peace, and brotherhood. He added that such exposure boosts self-confidence and contributes to overall personality development.
During the tour, students will visit New Delhi and Chennai, exploring historical monuments, leading educational institutions, major tourist attractions, and key industrial units.
Each participant has been provided with a complete tour kit, including sportswear, shoes, a cap, and a carry bag, to ensure comfort and uniformity.
Parents and students expressed their gratitude to the J&K Police for the initiative, appreciating their efforts to positively channel youth through educational exposure and cultural awareness programs.
