She added: "When I was young, he would talk to us about life in many ways—as a daughter, as a future mother, and as an actor. All of those things are truly priceless to me. Definitely, he was not only the showman of cinema but also the showman of our family."

She further added a sweet and interesting anecdote, Karisma recalled that she remembers a story about mangoes, a fruit Raj Kapoor really loved.

Karisma said in Hindi: "When we were kids, my grandfather loved mangoes. He was a very simple person—he traveled the world, but at heart, he remained grounded. He had a small fridge where he would keep mangoes."

"We grandchildren would quietly go and eat those mangoes and even take his foreign chocolates. If any of his children took them, they would get scolded, but he never said anything to me. Maybe also because my eyes resembled his."

Indian Idol airs on Sony Entertainment Television and streams on Sony LIV.
