Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met today a delegation led by Abbott's Executive Vice President and Group President, Lisa Earnhardt. In a social media post, Mr. Goyal stated that they discussed Abbott's operations in India and how the country provides unique opportunities for manufacturing under the "Make in India" initiative. He also added that they focused on Abbott's plans to further increase its investments in Research and Development and innovation, given India's progress in its economic growth.
