
Schools across the Kashmir Valley resume classes after a long winter break as students return to campus amidst welcome events and renewed focus on academic standards.
March 9, Srinagar: All schools across the Kashmir Valley reopened today after a winter break that lasted for over two months, marking the resumption of academic activities in the region. Students returned to their institutions with enthusiasm as routine classwork restarted.
On the first day of reopening, the Director of School Education, Kashmir, visited Government Middle School Moti Mohalla Kalan in the Nishat zone of Srinagar, where a welcome programme was organised for the students. The event was held in the presence of the Zonal Education Officer, Nishat.
The Director interacted with the children, distributed sweets among them, and extended warm greetings on their return to school after the winter break. Students expressed happiness at reuniting with classmates and teachers after the prolonged vacation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director said that strengthening academic standards remains the department's top priority. He emphasised that efforts are being made to reach every school across Kashmir and ensure improved educational facilities for students.
