Governor participates in Swachh Bharat program in Guwahati
Guwahati, February 23: Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, a "Sewa Sankalp" week program was organized today at the Latashil playground in Guwahati. The program was organized by the Lok Sewa Bhawan, Assam, in collaboration with the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC).
Assam Governor, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, attended the program. Several sanitation workers were honored during the event. In his address, the Governor expressed his hope that Guwahati would achieve the top position in cleanliness among cities across the country in the coming days.
Mayor Mrigen Sarania of GMC was also present at the event.
