Acoustic and Computer Vision Detect Drones with IIT Jammu's Innovation.webp

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 25: Dr. Karan Nathwani, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, has developed an AI-powered acoustic and computer vision-based UAV/Drone Detection System.

Using advanced signal processing and multi-modal technologies (acoustic + video), the system accurately detects drones, swarms of drones, birds, vehicles, human movement, and speech – even in the presence of ambient noise.

This innovative, cost-effective, and user-friendly solution can help counter drug-related terrorism, cross-border smuggling, and drone-based threats such as surveillance and espionage. It is easy to operate, with no limitations compared to conventional camera or radar systems.
