
Bengaluru, April 1 Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao on Wednesday directed officials to prepare an action plan for the comprehensive development of KR Market here and set a timeline for completion of the works.
During his visit to KR Market within the Bengaluru Central City Corporation limits today, he reviewed the situation along with officials and stated that a detailed action plan should be prepared covering proper waste disposal, installation of CCTV cameras, concreting of internal roads, providing proper connectivity to the flower market, and other development works.
According to an official statement, Rao directed officials to submit a report within one week along with a clear timeline for completion of these works.
He also instructed that all necessary locations in K R Market be assessed for installation of CCTV cameras from a safety perspective, and that a report be submitted immediately, followed by swift action to install the cameras.
In addition, Rao noted that the internal roads in the market are in poor condition and said they should be repaired and a concrete layer be laid.
At the KR market junction, asphalting work has been completed, and the service road has been developed with concrete, it said.
Officials were directed to facilitate smooth vehicular movement from the flyover down ramp at the earliest, the statement added.
