New Delhi, April 11 Actor Vivek Sinha shared a video on social media and refuted reports claiming he received 1 crore rupees for appearing in Aditya Dhar's blockbuster film, "Dhurandhar."
Sinha uploaded a video on his Instagram account on Friday, stating that there were several posts mentioning the amounts the film's actors were paid, including his name.
The actor said that he was offered a good sum, but it was nothing close to the figures some social media users were citing.
Sinha, who played the role of hijacker Zahoor Mistry in the film, joked that he had already spent the entire amount as he lives in Mumbai, and also urged fans and followers not to spread misinformation.
"Some people on social media have created a chart showing how much the actors of 'Dhurandhar' were paid. My name is on it too, and some people have written that I got 80 lakh rupees, while others have said I got 1 crore rupees. I did not receive that much money," he is heard saying in the video.
The first "Dhurandhar" film was released in December 2025, followed by another film in March. The last installment has already earned over 1,500 crore rupees at the global box office.
Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the film also starred R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi.
Set in the Lyari town of Karachi, an area known for its history of gang wars and violent turf battles, "Dhurandhar" revolved around covert intelligence operations against the backdrop of geopolitical and terror events like the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament Attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
The sequel charts the rise of Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari in the Karachi underworld while also delving into his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, tracing the journey of the young man who eventually transforms into the covert operative.
The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar and released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
