Mumbai, March 17 – Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recalled his childhood days with his father and revealed how he would make Akshay brave a tough situation with professional wrestlers.
The actor also further said that his father influenced him and how those early experiences later helped him in his career.
Akshay shared that his father was a wrestler and that conversations about martial arts, kushti and wrestling were very common at home.
Speaking about this, Akshay Kumar said, “In our family, my father, who was a wrestler, would often talk about martial arts, kushti, and wrestling. I would practice with professional wrestlers, and that experience has been very helpful in my career.”
The Bhaagam Bhag star also encouraged parents to notice what their children enjoy, identify their strengths, and support them in it.
He said, “I want to say to all parents: find out what your child is interested in. Sometimes, a child might not be interested in academics, but in something else. Try to understand them and support them in pursuing their interests, so that they can complete their education and then I will be there for them.”
He added that children can have different interests, such as swimming, boxing, martial arts, or quizzes, and parents can help them continue with those interests.
“If a child likes swimming, boxing, martial arts, or quizzes, parents can always support them in pursuing those interests.”
The conversation highlighted how support from parents can help children do well in life.
Akshay, who is currently hosting the quiz reality show Wheel of Fortune, expressed his thoughts on the parent-child bond on the show, with contestants Khyati Roy, Meetu Taneja, and Akash Sharma present.
