Mumbai, February 26 – National Award-winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming streaming movie 'Accused', has revealed that she sometimes finds herself being overly critical of herself.

Speaking with IANS during the film's promotional activities, Konkona shared that she sometimes feels uncomfortable referring to herself as an artist.

When asked about her relationship with power and how she navigates her position as one of the most respected artists in the country, she told IANS, "I don't really see it that way, actually. From my perspective, it's very different. I can't see myself from the outside. So, I try not to think about it too much. I just focus on my own work and try to be the best artist I can be."

When asked if she was being too self-critical, she replied, "No, I don't think so. I'm not one of those people who think everything about them is amazing, and that everyone should just accept it without question. It's nice to be introspective. It's nice to reflect on yourself. And it's interesting to change your mind. But I don't think it's necessary to worry too much about what other people think of you."

"I don't know how much control we have over what other people think of us and how we're perceived. We have very little control over our image, so it's better not to focus too much on that. Instead, we should focus on building a rich inner world," she added.

'Accused' will be available on Netflix on February 27, 2026.
