Varanasi (UP), April 8 A one-day 'AdhyAI: AI Summit' concluded at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) on Wednesday, with experts emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in nation-building and the need for responsible innovation.

According to a press statement, the event, organized by Think India, Meta, the Uttar Pradesh IT and Electronics Department, and IIT BHU, saw participation from over 350 delegates.

Chief guest Manindra Agrawal, Director of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, proposed the idea of a "Cognitive Gym" to preserve original thinking in the age of AI. Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma said the government is using AI to bridge the digital divide and address rural issues.

Amit Patra, Director of IIT BHU, and Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, highlighted India's potential in AI and stressed responsible usage.

During the closing session, Omkar Rai said India is emerging as a global AI hub, while other speakers emphasized human-centric and language-inclusive AI development.

The organizers said the summit marked a step towards guiding future tech leaders.
