Afghanistan Secures 82-Run Victory Over Canada.webp

Chennai, February 19 Afghanistan, led by an aggressive unbeaten half-century from opener Ibrahim Zadran and a strong bowling performance by Mohammad Nabi, defeated Canada by 82 runs in an inconsequential T20 World Cup Group D match here on Thursday.

Sent in to bat, Zadran smashed an unbeaten 95 off 56 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes, and partnered with Sediqullah Atal (44 off 32) to guide Afghanistan to a formidable 200 for 4 in their final match of the tournament.

Canada were then restricted to 118 for 8, with Mohammad Nabi (4/7) and Rashid Khan (2/19) taking four and two wickets respectively.
