JAMMU, March 29: Director of Agriculture, Jammu, Anil Gupta visited Majalta to review agricultural activities and inspected a Hi-Tech Polyhouse set up under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
The 500 sq m polyhouse, established by a local beneficiary, is equipped for cultivating seedless cucumbers using modern techniques. The Director emphasized the importance of protected cultivation for increasing farmers' income and ensuring year-round production.
Highlighting HADP as a key initiative for modernizing agriculture, he urged farmers to benefit from such schemes and assured full technical support.
Earlier, he also attended a Kisan Mela at Narsingh Sewa Kendra, where he appreciated efforts to promote modern farming practices.
