A two-day agriculture conference and workshop began today in Doda, focusing on climate-smart farming and sustainable agriculture.
The event, organized by the Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare, Jammu and Kashmir, under the MIDH-CSS scheme, is being held at the Community Hall.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from progressive farmers, stakeholders, and experts from across the district.
Chief Agriculture Officer Susheel Ratan, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies and climate-resilient farming practices to enhance productivity and ensure sustainable agricultural growth.
During the workshop, experts shared valuable insights on improved farming techniques, the use of quality seeds, efficient irrigation methods, and crop protection measures. Farmers were also made aware of adapting to changing climatic conditions.
Participating farmers appreciated the initiative, stating that such programs help them adopt new techniques and effectively address the challenges posed by changing weather patterns.
