
During his visit to a forward airbase in the Western Sector today, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, was briefed on the operational role and readiness of an Air Squadron, as well as the enhanced capabilities of the MiG-29 UPG platform. This visit highlights the Indian Air Force's operational preparedness in the face of a dynamic geopolitical situation. The CAS also participated in an operational formation sortie on the Mikoyan MiG-29UPG.
During the visit, the aircrew and ground personnel of the base, who were maintaining a high level of operational readiness, actively participated in flying-related activities.
The squadron is set to complete 63 years since its induction in 1963, reflecting a long and distinguished history of service in protecting the nation's airspace.
In addition to interacting with veteran personnel, the CAS also spoke with aircrew, technicians, and ground staff, recognizing their crucial role in ensuring the sustained operational readiness of combat platforms.
