March 07, New Delhi: Global air travel remains severely disrupted following the war in Iran, which forced the closure of key West Asian aviation hubs including Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, leaving tens of thousands of passengers stranded worldwide and disrupting thousands of flights.
Qatar Airways stated that repatriation flights to several European cities would begin on Saturday. However, scheduled commercial flights will remain suspended due to the closure of Qatar's airspace as a result of the regional conflict.
Priority on these flights was given to stranded passengers traveling with family members, elderly passengers, and those with urgent medical or compassionate travel needs.
