Mumbai, March 21 Bollywood actress Khushi Kapoor showcased a striking blend of glamour and tradition as she walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Aisha Rao.
Dressed in a shimmering, floral-embellished crop top paired with a coordinated lehenga, Khushi said her outfit embodied a balance of bold design and feminine grace.
Speaking about her experience on the runway, the actress said, "It feels amazing. I'm a girly girl, so I love flowers and colors. Besides being so beautiful and colorful, there is so much delicate and intricate embroidery. Although it's bold, it's also soft and seamless, it's a perfect blend of everything."
Rao's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled "Inter-Hana," is inspired by the abstract floral language of Japanese artist Fumi Imamura.
The Hyderabad-based designer said the aim was to bring together art, technique, and cultural dialogue on the runway through her collection.
"The term 'inter' means between, and 'hana' is the Japanese word for flower. It operates as a structural metaphor for an interwoven crochet-like engineered mesh produced in-house, where this surface becomes the story of cultural dialogue, structural interdependence, self-reliance, and the continuity of craft," Rao explained.
"It's not any of the conventional fabrics that you source from anywhere outside, like China or elsewhere, it's made in-house by us. It took us a while to perfect. It has strength and is yet delicate. I'm very proud," she said.
