Mumbai, March 9 – After a long wait, the makers of "Alpha" finally announced on Monday that the upcoming film, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, will be released in theaters on July 10.
The official Instagram handle of Yash Raj Films (YRF) shared a teaser poster on the photo-sharing website, featuring a glimpse of Alia Bhatt's bruised look. Only her eye and face are visible, creating a sense of intrigue and intensity.
The poster, with a sleek, dark, and mysterious design dominated by black and metallic gold tones, features the letter "A" in Greek. Below the title, the names of actors Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol are written. At the bottom of the poster, the theatrical release date "10.07.26 – Only in Cinemas" is prominently displayed.
Alia and Sharvari will face off against Bobby in this intense showdown.
"Alpha" marks Alia's first film with Yash Raj Films. It is also the first all-female-led action film in India, with Alia and Sharvari teaming up to perform action sequences that audiences have never seen before on screen.
"Alpha" is directed by Shiv Rawail, who previously directed YRF's global hit series, "The Railway Men." The film is produced by Aditya Chopra.
The upcoming spy film "Alpha" was originally scheduled to be released on December 25, 2025.
The banner had announced along with a poster carrying the release date, which read: "On Christmas 2025, #ALPHA will rise! Get ready for an action-packed holiday… 25th Dec, 2025. @aliaabhatt | @sharvari @shivrawail | #YRFSpyUniverse"
A source had earlier shared that Alia and Sharvari will be seen performing a lot of action in the film.
"Alia has been training for months for this demanding film. A video that was uploaded by her trainer a few days back showed how she is getting stronger by the day for Alpha. The reason why Alia is pushing herself so much now is because of this schedule," the source said.
