
New Delhi, March 18 Aluminium prices fell by nearly 1 per cent to Rs 337.80 per kilogram in futures trading on Wednesday, amid weak trends in the global markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium for March delivery decreased by Rs 3.10, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 337.80 per kilogram in a trading volume of 2,189 lots.
The April contract also declined by Rs 3, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 341.60 per kilogram in 1,713 lots.
Analysts said aluminium prices were under pressure due to subdued demand outlook and negative global trends.
In the international market, aluminium futures on the London Metals Exchange (LME) fell by USD 26.60, or 0.79 per cent, to USD 3,343 per tonne.
Market participants said base metal prices remained weak as investors assessed global economic conditions and demand prospects, particularly amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.
