
Leaders of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) met with Director of Tourism, Jammu, Vikas Sharma, and submitted a memorandum demanding the operation of free buses under the "Jammu Darshan" scheme during the Amarnath Yatra.
Sharing this information, J&K President of the party, Manish Sahni, stated that the Amarnath Yatra would soon begin, and lakhs of pilgrims from across the country and abroad are expected to arrive in Jammu. He said that a memorandum was submitted to the Director of Tourism requesting that free buses be operated for pilgrims under the Jammu Darshan initiative so that they can visit important tourist and religious places in Jammu and learn about them.
Sahni expressed his gratitude to the Director of Tourism for giving a positive response to the demand and expressed hope that the proposal would be approved soon.
He further stated that a proposal was also presented to the Director of Tourism requesting that two Shiv Sena volunteers accompany each bus to guide pilgrims from different parts of the country and provide them information about tourist and religious sites in Jammu and Kashmir. He added that Director of Tourism, Vikas Sharma, has also agreed to this proposal.
