Hyderabad, February 20 A fire broke out in a multi-story commercial building that housed several IT coaching centers and shops in Ameerpet on Friday.
No casualties were reported.
The fire, believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, resulted in thick smoke billowing from the building.
Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was quickly brought under control, officials said.
Students and others in the building were safely evacuated by the police and officials.
Ameerpet, a densely populated area, is home to a large number of coaching centers that offer software courses.
