Bengaluru, March 13 The Karnataka Municipalities and Certain Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which proposes to align the provisions for advertising with those of the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024, regarding the levying and collection of fees for advertising, was tabled in the Legislative Assembly on Friday.
The Bill, introduced by Minister for Urban Development Byrathi Suresh, also includes provisions for regulating unauthorized advertisements and for validating fees and penalties in municipalities and municipal corporations.
The Bill is likely to be taken up for discussion next week.
