Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Guru of Sikhism, on his Jyoti-Jot day today. In a social media post, Mr. Shah stated that Guru Hargobind Sahib established the tradition of the saint-soldier, making Sikhism a powerful force for protecting humanity.
The Home Minister added that by establishing the Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Guru Hargobind Sahib strengthened Sikhism and also conveyed the message of Hindu-Sikh unity.
