Vetlapalem (Andhra Pradesh), February 28 Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said that 18 people died and six were critically injured in the cracker unit explosion here in the Kakinada district on Saturday.
The explosion at the Vetlakpalem village in the Samarlakota mandal was so powerful that the bodies were thrown into nearby rice fields, according to a police official.
