Amaravati, April 10 Andhra Pradesh Minister K Parthasarathy said on Friday that work has commenced on 80 per cent of projects involving investments of over Rs 9 lakh crore that have been attracted since June 2024.

Addressing a press conference following a Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat, the I&PR Minister said the State Investment Promotion Board has approved 260 projects.

"From June 2024 to now, the SIPB has approved 260 projects amounting to a total investment of Rs 9.26 lakh crore. Work on 80 per cent of these projects has commenced," said Parthasarathy, calling these developments a "victory" for the TDP-led NDA government.

In the Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, he said the Council of Ministers has approved a request from Adani Infra India Ltd and Raiden Infotech India Pvt Ltd—entities building the USD 15 billion Google data centre in Visakhapatnam—to execute a sale deed instead of a sale agreement.

He said this move is aimed at the smooth implementation of the Google AI data centre in the port city.

The minister said the Cabinet approved Credence Realty’s Rs 387 crore investment to set up an IT park in Visakhapatnam, which will generate 6,500 jobs.

The Cabinet approved Feuji Software Solutions’ proposal to establish an IT campus in Visakhapatnam at an investment of Rs 425 crore.

Aiming to facilitate the establishment of more data centres, Parthasarathy said the Cabinet also approved Sritech Data Ltd’s Rs 1,800 crore cable landing station in the port city.

The Cabinet approved an investment of Rs 1,305 crore by PG Techno Plast Pvt Ltd. Under the first phase of this investment, manufacturing facilities for refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners will be set up.

Under the second phase, an R&D centre, PCB vertical capacity expansion, a component vendor park, and other facilities will be established, with the potential to create 2,000 jobs in total.

The Cabinet approved the allocation of 105 acres of land to NPSPL Specialty Chemicals Pvt Ltd at Kuppam in Chittoor district.

The project includes the establishment of a critically advanced lithium battery material project and an energy transition cathode material project, with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore and the creation of 400 jobs.

The Cabinet also approved an investment of Rs 627 crore by ISprout Business Centre Pvt Ltd for the development of IT, ITES, and data centres.

The ISprout investment includes the allocation of 9.5 acres of land, with the potential to create 12,500 jobs, said Parthasarathy.

Further, he said the Cabinet approved the setting up of an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) facility and a semiconductor fabrication facility in the Sri Sathya Sai district by RRP Electronics Ltd.

The Cabinet approved the allocation of 60 acres of land for RRP Electronics, which will invest Rs 10,240 crore and create over 3,000 jobs.

In addition, the Cabinet approved Quantum AI Global Pvt Ltd’s (QAIG) proposal to set up an R&D centre and a manufacturing facility in Amaravati Quantum Valley (AQV) at an investment of Rs 108 crore, among other approvals.
