
Surampalli (Andhra Pradesh), March 13 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday disbursed over Rs 2,500 crore to nearly 47 lakh farmers as part of the Annadata Sukhibahva-PM Kishan welfare scheme, which provides financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per year to farmers.
The chief minister disbursed Rs 6,000 each to nearly 47 lakh farmers under the third installment of this welfare scheme, which was promised during the 2024 elections at a public meeting in Surampalli, Krishna district.
Out of the Rs 2,676 crore, the southern state contributed Rs 1,874 crore.
So far, Rs 14,000 has been credited to farmers in two installments, and including today's disbursement of Rs 6,000, the promise of Rs 20,000 will be fulfilled, the release stated.
