Puducherry, March 31 BJP leader K Annamalai criticised the INDIA bloc in Puducherry on Tuesday, alleging that the Congress-led alliance was "plunged into chaos and confusion".
While campaigning for NDA candidates in the upcoming Puducherry assembly elections, he claimed that a lack of cohesion was paralysing the INDIA bloc.
"There is no mutual understanding between the Congress and DMK, and there is confusion regarding seat allocation between the two parties. If these parties cannot even reach a mutual understanding during the election campaign and while fielding candidates, how can they provide a government to the people?" he asked, appealing to voters to support the BJP nominee for the Raj Bhavan seat, V P Ramalingam.
Highlighting the achievements of the AINRC-led NDA government, the former Tamil Nadu BJP chief stated that the territorial administration had transformed the union territory into a land of peace over the past five years.
"Chief Minister N Rangasamy has introduced several measures to improve the lives of people during the last five years," he said.
The BJP leader also alleged that during the previous Congress rule (between 2016 and 2021), Puducherry experienced "jungle raj".
