February 19, New Delhi: At the India AI-Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei emphasized that the energy and enthusiasm to develop AI in India are particularly strong, unlike anywhere else.
He stated that India has an "absolutely central role" in shaping both the opportunities and risks associated with artificial intelligence. Amodei added that, as the world's largest democracy, India can emerge as a leader in addressing the economic, social, and security challenges posed by advanced AI systems.
