
Araria (Bihar), March 23 Three young men were killed instantly when their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Araria district, Bihar, an official said on Monday.
The incident occurred on a four-lane stretch between Palasi and Bathnaha near Chauhan Tola, within the jurisdiction of the Narpatganj police station, on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Arbaz, Sameer, and Ashraf, all residents of the neighbouring Supaul district, aged 19-20.
Forbesganj SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha said, "Police reached the scene immediately after receiving information and transported the victims to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead."
Efforts are underway to identify the vehicle involved in the accident, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being reviewed, he added.
Police have informed the families of the deceased and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination, an official said.
According to eyewitnesses, the victims were riding from Bathnaha towards Narpatganj when a speeding vehicle collided with their motorcycle and fled the scene.
