Chandigarh, April 2 – The Punjab police announced on Thursday that it had uncovered an interstate illegal arms supply network with the arrest of four individuals.
The Patiala police also recovered 10 sophisticated self-loading firearms, according to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were sourcing locally made weapons from Bihar and supplying them in Punjab for criminal activities, he said.
Further investigation indicates gang rivalry, with plans to target a rival criminal linked to the Goldy Dhillon network to establish dominance in the area, Yadav stated on X.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to identify backward and forward linkages and dismantle the entire network, he added.
