
Srinagar, February 22 An Army officer died here on Sunday after collapsing while on duty in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The Army captain collapsed while on duty in the Naugam sector in the northern part of the Kashmir district, they said.
Officials said the officer was airlifted to the Army's 92 base hospital in Badamibagh Cantonment here, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The cause of death is believed to be cardiac arrest, they added.
The body has been taken to the Police Control Room hospital here, and investigations under section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) have been initiated to determine the cause of death, the officials said.
