Leh/Jammu, February 17 The Army's Northern Commander, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, met with Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta in Leh on Tuesday, and they discussed the security situation, officials said.

The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command was accompanied by the General Officer Commanding of the 14 Corps based in Leh, Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, during the meeting.

Gupta praised the Army's role in protecting the borders and ensuring the safety of the people, while the GOC-in-C reaffirmed the Army's commitment to the security and integrity of the Union territory, they said.
