
Itanagar, April 8 Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik paid tributes to Jaswant Singh Rawat, a hero of the 1962 India-China war, and all soldiers who lost their lives in the conflict at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial in the Tawang district on Wednesday.
He described the memorial as a sacred symbol of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism. "It stands as a lasting reminder of the indomitable spirit of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation's sovereignty," the governor said.
The governor commended all ranks of the 4th Corps, especially the 5th Mountain Division, for their dedication. He also praised the officers and soldiers of the 46th Infantry Brigade for their vigilance, discipline, and exemplary commitment to duty.
Parnaik also met with retired servicemen at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. He reminded them that as proud members of the Indian Army family, their experience, wisdom, and values remain a guiding force for future generations.
