
February 19, New Delhi – The AI-India Impact Summit today featured prominent heads of state, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, described the summit as "the first AI summit in the Global South and the largest AI summit to date." He also reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for technology.
The Union Minister further outlined India's comprehensive five-layer artificial intelligence strategy.
Speaking about the second layer of India's AI stack, Ashwini Vaishnaw said that India believes that over 90 per cent of use cases can be served through smaller, focused models.
