
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, March 20 The Archaeological Survey of India has installed four pumps in the Devgiri Fort area here to address fire incidents, an official said on Friday.
These 7.5 horsepower pumps successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in the vicinity of the fort this month, he added.
Earlier last year, a major fire affected a large part of the 250-acre area around the fort, the ASI official pointed out.
"The pumps have been installed at four locations that are natural water resources. These include the Saraswati well, the moat surrounding the fort, the Kacheri well, and the water tank near the Janardan Swami temple. The pumps are connected to 200-meter pipes with valves," he told
