ASMITA League Athletics event held in Kokrajhar
An athletics event under the ASMITA League was organized at the Sports Authority of India Training Centre in Kokrajhar to mark International Women's Day.
The program was organized by Mera Yuva Bharat in collaboration with the district administration, District Sports Office, Khelo India Centre, and the Sports Authority of India.
Competitions were held in three age categories – Under-13, 13-18 years, and 18 years and above. The initiative aimed to encourage girls from villages and small towns to participate in sports and consider it as a career.
Kokrajhar District Commissioner Pankaj Chakraborty inaugurated the program and emphasized the importance of empowering girls through sports. A large number of young athletes participated in the event.
