UDHAMPUR, March 6: Deputy Director of MY Bharat Udhampur, Khushal Gupta, briefed the media on Thursday about the celebration of International Women's Day 2026 in the district.
He informed that the event will be held on March 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Subhash Stadium, with the participation of young women and girls from across the district.
The programme will be organized under the ASMI-TA League initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, aimed at promoting women's participation in sports and identifying grassroots talent.
The event will feature athletics and other sports activities for different age groups to encourage women's empowerment and provide a platform for young female athletes.
Interested participants must register through the MY Bharat portal (mybharat.gov.in) under the "International Women's Day" event to participate in the programme, he added.
