The visiting team will comprise representatives from several countries, including Angola, Bhutan, Egypt, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Benin, and Croatia, according to an official release on Saturday.
Elections to the 126-member Assam assembly will be held on April 9. Votes will be counted on May 4.

On April 8, the delegates will participate in briefings by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and visit dispatch centers and control rooms to observe poll preparedness at the field level.
They will visit multiple polling stations in some Assam districts on April 9 to observe voting procedures, security arrangements, and the use of election technologies, the release said.
The programme is designed to showcase the scale, transparency, and robustness of India's electoral process, while fostering international cooperation and the exchange of best practices in election management, it added.
