Assam Chief Minister launches Orunodoi 3.0
Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma formally launched the third edition of the Orunodoi scheme today, which provided financial assistance to nearly 40 lakh women across the state, ensuring wider support for those in need.
Under the initiative, each beneficiary received ₹9,000, with the amount distributed at approximately 3,800 locations across Assam.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister stated that Orunodoi is not just a government scheme, but a support system for families, aimed at strengthening households through direct financial assistance to women.
Similar programs for transferring the assistance amount were also held in several districts, where beneficiaries received the financial support under the scheme.
