
Assam Education Minister lays foundation stone for Milk Processing plant
In Assam, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu laid the foundation stone and performed the ground-breaking ceremony for a milk processing plant at Rangajan in the Dhemaji district on Saturday. The project, which will cost ₹63 crore, will have a processing capacity of 50,000 litres of milk per day.
On the same day, foundation stones for similar dairy processing projects were also laid in Jorhat and Dibrugarh. The central programme for the project was held at Kaliapani in Jorhat, where Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, attended the ceremony. Dr. Pegu participated in the programme virtually from Rangajan, along with district officials and several dairy farmers and cattle rearers.
