
Police seize drugs worth ₹4 crore in Kaziranga
In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Bagori Police seized a large quantity of banned drugs during a vehicle check in the Kaziranga area of Nagaon district, Assam.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a truck during a search operation. According to police sources, the truck was travelling from Manipur to the Goalpara district.
During the search, approximately 80,000 Yaba tablets were recovered from a hidden chamber located above the driver's seat. The estimated market value of the seized drugs is around ₹4 crore.
Two individuals, both identified as Rafikul Islam and residents of the Goalpara district, have been detained in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway to uncover additional links related to the drug trafficking network.
