Guwahati, March 1 The Assam government is in contact with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to obtain information about Assam residents living or stranded in West Asia, a senior official said on Sunday.
He said the state government currently does not have figures on the number of Assam residents living in the conflict-affected region.
"We are constantly in contact with the MEA and are trying to gather information about Assam residents in West Asia," the senior official, who requested anonymity, told
