
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Assam, starting today. During his visit, Mr. Modi will launch several development projects worth over ₹47,800 crore in the state. The PM's visit to Kokrajhar has been cancelled due to weather conditions. The PM will be virtually attending the event from the State Guest House in Guwahati.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Assam Mala 3.0 road infrastructure project, as well as six road projects, including four flyovers and two bridges, for the BTC area. On the same occasion, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for a railway Periodic Overhauling Workshop in Kokrajhar and will inaugurate three new trains: the Kamakhya-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, the Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri Express, and the Narangi-Agartala Express.
In Guwahati, the PM will perform Bhoomi Poojan and inaugurate and dedicate several development projects worth approximately ₹19,680 crore to the nation. The Prime Minister will also release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme to over 9.3 crore farmers across the country. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones and dedicate various projects worth ₹23,550 crore at Silchar.
