Imphal, April 5 Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh on Sunday said that the NDA government in Assam has made significant progress in infrastructure development and governance, and the state is poised to emerge as a strong and dynamic region.

Singh was speaking to reporters after addressing a rally in Assam's Cachar district in support of BJP candidate from Udharbond, Rajdeep Goala.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking India forward, and Himanta Biswa Sarma has transformed Assam," the CM said.

Later, in a post on Facebook, Singh said, "At a public meeting held at Rongpur today, hosted by BJP candidate from Udharbond constituency, Shri Rajdeep Goala, the overwhelming presence of supporters clearly reflected the strong confidence of the people in his leadership."

"Over the past decade, the NDA government in Assam has made significant progress in infrastructure development and governance. With sustained efforts towards progress and decisive actions, including addressing the issue of illegal migration, Assam stands poised to emerge as a strong and dynamic state, not only in the North East, but across the nation," he said.

Polling for the 126-member Assam assembly will be held on April 9, while the results will be declared on May 4.

"Let us come together to support this vision of growth and stability. Vote for BJP and be a part of Assam's journey towards a brighter and more prosperous future," Singh added.
