April 04, New Delhi - The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has successfully dismantled a terror module allegedly operating under the direction of Pakistani handlers, which was reportedly planning acts of arson, sabotage, and other activities aimed at spreading panic across India.
The main accused, Saqib alias Devil from Meerut, along with his associates, had been involved in anti-national activities, according to ATS officials. Investigators revealed that the Pakistani handlers provided the group with Google location coordinates, which were used for reconnaissance and target selection.
The ATS has launched further investigations to map the module's network, identify additional associates, and prevent any future attacks. Officials said this action underscores the state's commitment to counter-terrorism and vigilance against cross-border threats.
