Srinagar, March 11: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, presided over an Awami Darbar in Shangus on Wednesday to address public grievances and strengthen grassroots governance.
During the public interaction programme, residents and representatives from various areas of Shangus highlighted issues related to irrigation, rural development, flood control, Roads and Buildings, and the Power Development Department, seeking prompt solutions.
Senior officers of the district administration were present and responded to the concerns raised by the public.
Earlier, ACD Anantnag Shafiq Ahmed Wani welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and participants and emphasized the importance of such outreach initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhat reiterated the administration's commitment to taking governance to the people's doorsteps and ensuring that government schemes benefit all sections of society. He assured that genuine grievances would be examined and addressed in a timely manner.
Bhat also thanked the participants for attending the Awami Darbar in large numbers and actively engaging with the administration.
