Lahore, March 4 The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced a 15-member squad, including six uncapped players, that will face Bangladesh in a three-match away One Day International (ODI) series, starting on March 11.
Following a period of uncertainty surrounding the tour due to flight disruptions caused by the Iran conflict, the PCB announced the squad.
The inclusion of six uncapped players indicates that the panic button has been pressed in response to the national team's poor performance in the T20 World Cup, where the team was eliminated in the Super 8s stage.
The uncapped players include Maaz Sadaqat, Shamyl Hussain, Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, and Abdul Samad, all of whom played against England Lions for the Pakistan Shaheens in Abu Dhabi. The series was cancelled with three ODIs remaining due to regional tensions.
The selectors have also recalled fast bowler Haris Rauf and batsman Hussain Talat to the squad, which will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
The team will depart for Dhaka on March 9, with all three ODIs scheduled to be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
